What is '' Association Islamique de Dudelange IHSAN'' asbl?
Muslim community centre IHSAN was founded in June 2023 in Dudelange, the fourth most populated city in Luxembourg. It is legally registered as a nonprofit organisation (registration number: F14116) and complies with the legal requirements applicable to associations under the public law of Luxembourg. Additionally, it met all the conditions and regulations made by Shoura- Assembly of the Muslim Community in Luxembourg, related to the founding of new communities/mosques or centres.
Muslim community IHSAN was founded by Luxembourgish born and raised, well integrated Muslim citizens who participated in a vast range of religious and cultural associations over the period of 20 years. As active members of a society, founders of IHSAN have knowledge about community work in Luxembourg giving its new association necessary experience and vision for a prosperous projects.

How the idea about founding Muslim community centre of Dudelange was born?
Taking into account that this city didn't have any Muslim community centre , as well as the fact that the number of Muslims in this area drastically increased during last 10 years, so the need of Muslims for an adequate place to perform their religious activities. Also, according to the recent data provided by Statec, the National Institute for Statistics and Econimic Studies of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, there are over 115 000 daily work commuters coming from France, among them many muslims, who are working in Dudelange and surrounding area, or are passing through its territory.
Such circumstancies as well as Muslims' responsability of buliding mosques in the places where there are Muslims and no mosques, inspired us to establish this community centre and to start the project of buying an adequate place.
With Allah's will and help, we have found a place in the center of Dudelange, some 200m far from the municipality building. By buying this property we are making sure that this community centre will succeed and be useful for the community and be the spiritual oasis for many commuters.
Who is supporting this project?
This project is supported by Shoura- Assembly of the Muslim Community of Luxembourg, as well as all the community centres who are part of it. Further, our project is supported by the Waqf Foundation Luxembourg, which is the unique legitimate Islamic foundation in Luxembourg,
as well as all the people who found themselves in the words of Allah swt. : ''The mosques of Allah should only be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, establish prayer, pay alms-tax, and fear none but Allah. It is right to hope that they will be among the ˹truly˺ guided.'' At- Tawbah, 18
What is the total cost of this project?
It is important to note that the prices of a real estete in Luxembourg are extremly high , so the costs of the project are as follows:
Afterwords, for the work of renovations and complete adaptation for the community needs, we will need additional 650 000 euros, giving the total cost of 1 300 000 euros. As we are limited by time for buying this property until end of October 2023, our priority is to collect the money for buying the property which is 700 000 euros. We hope that with Allah's swt help we will collect this sum in the given time which will give us the chance to complete this project.
Why should I donate via Waqf Foundation?
Foundation Waqf is a nonprofit foundation, founded by Shoura-Assembly of the Muslim Community of Luxembourg, which exists for general good and social solidarity.
Waqf Luxembourg is legitimate foundation under the public law which makes your donations tax deductible ( ART. 109 and 112 LIR). To be tax deductible, donation should be paid directly to Waqf Foundation and not to the mosques.
Do I have benefits from using Waqf Foundation if I don't live in Luxembourg?
Yes, you benefit from Waqf Foundation services even you are not Luxembourgish citizen, your donations are recognised in all the territory of EU. For your donation you will get the certificate about the payment which you can send to the tax-related authorities in your country of residence and use it for tax deduction.
Is my donation secured?
Donation paid via this website is directly transferred to Waqf Foundation, who transfers that money, without fees, to our community centre IHSAN.
